About The Position

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator with LTL experience in Groveport, Ohio. The role focuses on moving products throughout the warehouse using material-handling equipment and requires operating equipment in accordance with local legislation. The position is safety-sensitive and requires forklift certification. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Weekend availability and possible overtime are required. The stated pay range is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be forklift certified; the posting indicates certification may be valid or invalid.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Must work well with others, including with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above the head.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
• Previous forklift certifications preferred.
• LTL experience.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and systems tasks.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and follow TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
