About The Position

Chudleigh's is looking for a Forklift Operator (PM) to join their team for a 6-month contract. Chudleigh's has been a part of people's lives for over 50 years, operating a modern 110,000 square foot bakery with 200 dedicated full-time employees. They make desserts for customers across North America and beyond.

Requirements

High school graduate or, minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Maintain valid certifications as determined by provincial or federal regulations for all lift vehicles.
Valid Forklift/Counterbalance Certificate.

Nice To Haves

Dessert Manufacturing or Bakery experience.
Comfortable using WMS, handheld scanners, and basic WMS.
Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Inspect pallets to ensure accuracy and no damages.
Timely and accurate loading and unloading of trailers, according to MOL, GMP, HACCP, CTPAT or any other standards that create a safe environment for the worker, the food, and or the drivers.
Organize and communicate preparation necessary for safe and proper transfer of goods.
Flawless execution of the WMS.
Communicate system issues immediately to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
Monitor and manage equipment for data collection to minimize damage or malfunctions.
Maintain all necessary skills and training to provide safe and efficient service.
Re-familiarize through training and/or recertification, including the safe operation of equipment and its basic safety inspections.
Assist other department requests when necessary.
Complete inventory checks and counts as assigned.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, including covering for other forklift operators.
