About The Position

General Material Handling responsibilities in a manufacturing/production environment, including: operating a forklift, clearing production lines, maintaining production storage system (inventory control, FIFO), checking product for quality, and performing various other tasks. As with all positions at Southwest Forest Products, this position requires an emphasis on quality and safety. This position also allows for cross-training and future growth. Southwest Forest Products is a very fast-paced operation and we pride ourselves on our clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• Sit Down or Standup Forklift Experience is required.
• Must be able to read a measuring tape.

Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift
• Clearing production lines
• Maintaining production storage system (inventory control, FIFO)
• Checking product for quality
• Performing various other tasks
• Performing rotating loading or unloading duties as assigned on a daily basis
• Helping to organize the facility
• Cleaning and sweeping facility as needed
• Providing customer service to all working departments
• Operating forklifts safely and responsibly
• Treating all customers and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner
