About The Position

This position is responsible for unloading cages of live birds from trailers and placing them onto a dump system. The role also involves removing empty cages from the dump system and placing them back onto the trailer. Start-up responsibilities include performing safety inspections of the vehicle and fueling if necessary. The forklift driver will maintain up to 6 loaded cages per dump system. Damaged cages are taken to an area near receiving for repair. This position ensures all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner using a hand pallet jack, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 6 months of operator experience (can be a combination of employers) listed on the application.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Unload cages of live birds from trailers and place onto dump system.
• Remove empty cages from dump system and place back on trailer.
• Perform safety inspection of vehicle and fuel if necessary.
• Maintain up to 6 loaded cages per dump system.
• Transport damaged cages to the designated repair area.
• Ensure all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner.
• Utilize a hand pallet jack for material handling.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
