About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to stack material, load trailers, and empty full containers throughout the facility efficiently and safely. The role includes inspecting and maintaining equipment readiness, organizing warehouse materials, and following company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Complete and pass OSHA forklift (powered industrial truck) certification training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.178.
• At least 1 year of prior forklift operation experience.
• At least 1 year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good customer service skills, including professional, courteous, cooperative, honest, and trustworthy conduct with customers and coworkers.
• Good time management skills to complete assigned responsibilities efficiently and safely.
• Ability to follow through, adhere to the work schedule, and address challenges as they arise.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and rules, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections according to company policy, ensuring windows, lights, and mirrors are clean and equipment is in proper operating condition.
• Report to the shift supervisor for daily work assignments.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Organize material in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with the supervisor to empty full containers and trash bins throughout the facility.
• Continuously monitor equipment condition to ensure it is operationally ready and minimize downtime.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
