Forklift Operator 1st Shift
About The Position
Riceland Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for their warehouse in Jonesboro, AR. This role is responsible for loading bag trucks and boxcars with rice flour, and unloading all incoming materials. The operator must adhere to food safety policies (HACCP) and plant safety procedures, including overseeing work areas and reporting unauthorized persons. Responsibilities also include completing related paperwork, restacking pallets of product (50# and 100#), performing warehouse sanitation and cleaning, and operating both slip sheet and regular forklifts daily. Attendance at required training sessions is also expected.
Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination education and experience preferred
- Driving of forklifts (slip sheet and regular forklifts daily)
Responsibilities
- Loading of all bag trucks and boxcars with rice flour
- Unloading of all incoming materials
- Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures
- Responsible for plant safety by overseeing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor
- Attend training as required or approved by supervisor
- Proper completion of all related paperwork daily
- Restack pallets of the product (50# and 100#)
- Sanitation of warehouse area
- Completion of cleaning schedules
- Driving of forklifts (slip sheet and regular forklifts daily)
