About The Position

LSB is part of SC Johnson, a family-owned company founded in 1886, known for household cleaning, home storage, air care, pest control, and shoe care products. This role is for the 3rd shift. Movers + Makers will perform various forklift operator duties across all three shifts. They will manage material movement within production and blending areas, and prepare finished products for transport. This role is crucial for maintaining plant safety standards, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous forklift/material handling experience.
  • Demonstrated reliability and consistency in prior work history.
  • Successfully managed problem-solving in a previous job.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day, performing manual duties.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules and guidelines for all work processes, prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Operate a forklift to support production lines, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and deliver chemicals to the blending area.
  • Use the SAP system to manage inventory movement throughout the factory.
  • Monitor, inspect, and document for quality to ensure products meet high standards.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant workplace adhering to good manufacturing practices, 5S requirements, and zero-waste commitments.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet operational goals, perform various roles, and onboard/train teammates.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in cross-functional teams, solving challenges, and suggesting new ideas.
