Requirements

Forklift operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform Order Picker duties.
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year in food industry warehouse
Must have a current forklift certification card
A positive attitude & pleasant personality; effective memory skills; good hand eye coordination; dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn. Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
Assist in physical inventories and insure proper stock rotation.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Assist in pulling product from the warehouse for shipment.
Wraps order on pallet for shipment
Loads and unloads product safely and move product to storage locations, pallets, etc.
Place shipments and cheese orders on racking systems
Insure pallets for shipment are accurate and free of damage.
