The Forklift Operator works in a fast-paced production plant and warehouse environment, moving raw materials, loading and unloading trucks, and supplying production lines. The role uses powered industrial trucks and forklift-mounted vehicle units to complete warehouse activities and SAP transactions, validate quantities, and track inventory. The operator follows health, safety, food-quality, food-safety, and personal protective equipment requirements, performs forklift inspections and battery or propane tank changes, and keeps work areas clean. The position may also include production machine operation duties and other driving activities as directed by leadership. The work environment is structured and supervised, with moving equipment, noise requiring hearing protection, and temperatures that may be very hot or relatively cold. Weekday work is scheduled, but weekends, afternoon and evening shifts, overnight work, and holidays may be required. Overtime may be scheduled as needed. No travel is anticipated.
