About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The position must be able to obtain a forklift license and be able to change batteries as needed (training will be available). Must also be able to maneuver a pallet jack around tables and belts, be able to continuously grip the control handle of the jack, and the driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members), and any other duties assigned by Manager. This position is also required to complete various log sheets and maintain equipment while in possession.

Requirements

• Must have 3 months' work history with one employer listed on the application.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to obtain forklift license
• Must be able to change battery as needed
• Must be able to maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts
• Must be able to continuously grip control handle of the jack
• Driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members)

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 3 months of Forklift Operator Experience.

Responsibilities

• Operating a jack and forklift
• Moving product to necessary location
• Loading and unloading blast cell and freezer racks
• Assist in all areas as needed/assigned
• Loading and unloading skids and moving product to necessary location
• Maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts
• Continuously grip control handle of the jack
• Be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members)
• Complete various log sheets
• Maintain (upkeep) of equipment while in possession
