About The Position

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a Forklift Operator for their meat plant. This role involves safely operating assigned equipment, replenishing slot locations, and maintaining a safe and functional work area. The position requires adherence to all safety regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and immediate reporting of any malfunctions, safety issues, accidents, or injuries. The operator will communicate with Order Selectors for replenishment needs, manage stock rotation, verify bulk quantities, and remove/replace pallets. Regular attendance and compliance with company policies are essential. This is a day shift position with compensation based on hourly rate.

Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed forklift training program before operating any forklift.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Comply with company policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the food service industry a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates assigned equipment and replenishes slot locations.
  • Reports all equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and/or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Obeys all signs and lock out / tag out devices.
  • Reports any accidents or injuries immediately.
  • Communicates with Order Selectors to fill needed replenishments.
  • Maintains a safe and functional work area (assigned aisles), including locating fallen cases, back into the proper slot, pulling of boards, removing of debris, and processing damaged cases.
  • Cuts shrink-wrap from replenished pallets of product and reports all spills.
  • Replenishes slot locations using the directed task pool generated by the Allpoints inventory software system, ensuring single stacking in the slot.
  • Recognizes proper rotation of stock and immediately reports discrepancies to a Supervisor or inventory control.
  • Verifies bulk to be correct and expedites to dock door as specified by dock Captain or Supervisor.
  • Removes empty pallets from pick slots, stacks, sorts, and takes pallets to designated area.
  • Replaces broken pallets and fixes tipped pallets throughout the warehouse.
  • Comes to work prepared and reports to assigned work area in a timely manner.
  • Complies with company policies.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
