About The Position
This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves operating a forklift daily in the Tray Pack Area, including loading and unloading combos, skids, and moving product to necessary locations. The successful candidate will need to obtain a forklift license and be able to change batteries. Additionally, the position requires maneuvering a pallet jack around tables and belts, continuously gripping the control handle, and being aware of all obstacles. Various log sheets must be completed. The work environment may expose the operator to cold temperatures and wet conditions, and requires physical activities such as walking, bending, standing, and frequent lifting up to 70 pounds. The candidate must be willing and able to perform these physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Must have 3 months of work history with one employer listed on the application
- Must be able to obtain forklift license
- Able to change battery as needed
- Able to maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts
- Able to continuously grip control handle of the jack
- Driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
