Summary The Forklift Operator is primarily responsible for accurately processing orders per schedule, transporting and staging product, and loading and unloading product and supplies in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 1 + years recent experience operating Sit Down and Stand-Up reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to meet daily production requirements.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Read and comprehend required paperwork.
  • Writing skills sufficient to complete required paperwork.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years operating Sit Down and Stand Up reach forklifts picking and pulling orders, loading and unloading trucks in a fast paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operates stand-up and sit-down forklift; performs required daily inspections.
  • Check availability of materials as listed on the production schedule and notify the Supervisor of any shortages.
  • Verify production ticket to the pallet and pull finished goods from the packaging line promptly. Transports pallets to shrink wrap area.
  • Transports needed packaging materials to the production area.
  • Supplies machine operators with necessary supplies in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.
  • Accurately completes required paperwork per company standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
