About The Position

The Rough Terrain Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting full/empty cage modules to and from the cage dump and live haul trailer. This role ensures cages are in good repair before being placed back on the trailer and that Tyson Animal Welfare policies are followed. The operator must maintain a steady pace to keep up with line speed, stop and lower forks when pedestrians are present, and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Additionally, operators are responsible for maintaining and inspecting their equipment and reporting any deficiencies to management.

Requirements

At least 3-month Operator experience within the last 10 years listed on the application.
Experience can be listed from a combination of employers if it is at least 3 months.
Requires a Tyson Rough terrain forklift license.
Operators are required to inspect their equipment daily.
Trained in Tyson Animal Welfare policies.
Must be able to work outside in the elements.
Must be able to maintain safety procedures during wet/icy conditions.
Must be able to step on/off a forklift safely.
The physical ability to sit throughout the day.
This position requires the use of steel toe shoes.
