About The Position

Okanagan Specialty Fruits Inc. (OSF) is seeking a dynamic, growth-focused Forklift Operator. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out daily warehouse tasks and duties with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced food processing facility. This position assists the operations team to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
Proficient written and verbal communication
Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
High attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and methodically.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Ability to work in a safe manner and adhere to all local/state and federal safety guidelines
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
The ability to remain positive and adapt to change
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Washington State Driver’s License
Forklift Certification or ability to achieve and maintain

Responsibilities

Consistent daily operation of a forklift.
Ensure that outgoing trucks have correct product that is not damaged prior to and during the loading process.
Ensure that incoming materials are not damaged prior to and during the unloading process.
Deliver materials to appropriate production areas as needed.
Capable of locating/relocating raw materials and be able to high stack bins.
Demonstrate accuracy while picking/fulfilling orders.
Assist processing areas as needed.
Knowledge of DIR (destacker, immersion, restacker) operations.
Ability to oversee unloading/high stacking processes in the CA (controlled atmosphere) facility.
Lead processes with forklift operators to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
