About The Position

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. provides warehousing and distribution logistics services through a network of storage facilities that receive, store, process, and dispatch cargo. The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies between received loads and their manifests. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with one of two shifts: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. The anticipated starting pay range is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Overtime may be required, and occasional weekend work is expected.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Experience using an RF scan gun.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
Previous forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and systems tasks.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
