About The Position

Lawrence Paper Company is seeking a dedicated and dependable Forklift Operator to join our Shipping & Receiving team. With over 140 years of experience, we produce paper and corrugated boxes for industrial and retail use and fulfill packaging services across the Midwest. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility.

Requirements

Must be dependable.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision required.
Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling.
A minimum of 1 year or prior forklift experience required.
Familiarity with forklifts is essential.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.
Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
Support the implementation of warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.
