About The Position

We are seeking a recently certified stand up forklift operator to work in our shipping department.

Requirements

• 2 yr experience operating forklifts
• Must have achieved prior certification (will be certified on site)
• Read, write and communicate in English
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be reliable

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or utilizing the proper forklift.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Stage materials in locations such as transit areas using pallets or cargo boards
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Record damage reports and maintain daily logs
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery
• Weigh, wrap, and box materials
• Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and recharging batteries
• Utilize proper alerts and other safety measures when operating equipment
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, moving waste to dumpsters as needed
