About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves products throughout the warehouse using material-handling equipment and operates manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. The role includes using a manifest to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks. Material handling duties may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting products. The operator must complete work accurately and on time while maintaining a safe and secure environment and following TSA and OSHA guidelines.

The position is scheduled for first shift, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime may be needed, and occasional weekend work is required. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending and other movements, and regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Requirements

• Forklift certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
• Previous forklift certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform material-handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and system tasks.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and follow TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
