About The Position

Interstate Brick is a premier commercial brick manufacturer in the U.S., established in 1891 and part of the Pacific Coast Building Products family since 1990. Their products are used in residential and commercial construction and are specified by architects and builders nationwide. This position supports the Inventory department by verifying quantities on outbound shipments, operating, inspecting, and fueling forklifts. The role also involves supporting the inventory department in all areas of the plant and demonstrating the company's Core Values: Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1-year experience driving a forklift and be company certified.
Requires on the job training to be able to perform duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and superiors.
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow simple instructions.
Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
Works overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Checks outbound shipments for accuracy.
Conducts cycle counts.
Changes delivery notes to reflect loading changes and inventory shortages.
Helps maintain an accurate and orderly inventory.
Participates in semi-annual inventory counts.
Inspects, maintains, and fuels forklifts as needed.
Empties dump hopper.
Adjusts fork spacing.
Loads brick on trucks.
Moves through the yard, aisles, and cross aisles.
Stacks product in the yard.
Loads/Unloads supplies.
Verifies tags on pallets.
Brings in packaging supplies.
Maintains work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
Abides by company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
Works overtime and weekends as needed.
