About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Raleigh, NC, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly. Hourly Pay $17.12 per hour. Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour Lead Premium. Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products Being Handled: Management of inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors etc. Equipment: Sit-Down Propane Forklifts, Handheld Scanner, Computer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Must be able to work both indoors and outside
Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required
Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
Ability to input data into computer system
Work overtime as assigned
Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
Pull orders accurately as assigned
Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment
Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
