About The Position
The Forklift Operator operates a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices. The role supports production by supplying lines with raw materials, handling and securing products, and maintaining inventory and product identification. The operator must comply with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. The position is located at 300 Dewey Street, Argos, Indiana 46501, on the 12-hour C shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current OSHA forklift driving certification.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements.
- Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Monitor material usage on the work floor and supply production lines with raw materials.
- Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Keep production lines supplied with raw materials.
- Inventory product as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
