The Ippolito Group of Companies is seeking a Production Forklift Operator for their facility in Burlington, Ontario. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth production and distribution operations. The position involves a continental day shift schedule, working 7 shifts across two weeks, resulting in 182 working days per year.

Requirements

High School Diploma (required)
Previous forklift and pallet truck experience with current certification (required)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Experience in the food industry (asset)
Experienced operator with Raymond Dock Stockers and Raymond Pallet Jacks

Responsibilities

Load and unload trailers as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
Sort and scan freight accurately
Verify product codes and IDs, ensuring correct labeling and rotation of product
Pick orders as assigned while maintaining proper product rotation
Safely operate Raymond Dock Stockers and Raymond Pallet Jacks
Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift and pallet truck equipment, reporting any hazards immediately
Communicate shipment discrepancies or errors promptly to supervisors or managers
Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures while ensuring PPE is always worn
Support production and warehouse teams as needed with miscellaneous tasks
