About The Position

This role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently, processing outbound shipments, and delivering finished pallets to the warehouse. The Forklift Operator ensures all finished products are properly issued in SAP, conducts accurate order picking and data entries, and acts as the final inspection point for outgoing products. This position also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment, organizing inventory for FIFO (First-In, First-Out), assisting with product sampling and QC holds, and rotating product for tempering. Depending on the specific role within the warehouse, responsibilities may also include driving a bobtail truck and supplying materials for packaging operations. Adherence to all safety requirements, proper PPE usage, and compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards are critical.

Requirements

  • Load trailers and trucks with products in safe and efficient manner.
  • Receive product according to SQF specifications.
  • Ensure all product and material needs are supplied to the production areas to run efficiently.
  • Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE.
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently per process set by DFA.
  • Process outbound shipments and process documents through SAP system.
  • Deliver finished pallets to the warehouse and place them in the rack system.
  • Ensure all finished products get issued properly in SAP.
  • Conduct timely and accurate order pick and data entries.
  • Ensure prior to loading that trailer conditions meet cleanliness standards set by DFA.
  • Act as last line of inspection for finished product going to customers.
  • Ensure accuracy of shipments as to quantity, batch identification and code date.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Organize, rotate, and consolidate the pallets in the rack system to improve FIFO.
  • Assist the lab in pulling samples and tagging product that has been placed on QC hold.
  • Rotate product into warehouse to temper for butter room to use in oil system.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and participate in monthly and annual inventory counts.
  • If positioned in the packaging role of the warehouse you will be responsible for driving bobtail truck to offsite local warehouse.
  • If positioned in the packaging role of the warehouse you will be responsible for Supply all materials needed for packaging and materials for the machine operators.
  • Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE.
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Inform QA personnel of any quality issues.
