About The Position

We are hiring for a Forklift Operator to join our growing team! This position is eligible for a quarterly production & monthly Attendance bonuses! The Forklift Operator is responsible for coordinating, organizing and inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.

Requirements

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of the workings of Sellars Distribution Center.
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills dealing with issues in a positive, complete manner.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated capability to function within a team setting
Flexibility in work assignments and overtime hours.
Ability to exercise professionalism, courtesy, and tact in dealing with all members of the Sellars organization and external resources.
Ability to read and interpret all documents used in the Distribution Center.
Positive work attitude.
Minimum of three years of experience in material handling required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a warehouse/Distribution Center is preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the Midtown team.
Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.
Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Sellars products are met on a continuing basis.
Understand and fully comply with the Sellars’ concept of “move to the work.” This means ensuring all tasks required to operate efficiently.
Promote and support the Good Warehouse Management Practices.
Ensure inventory accuracy of Roll Goods.
Prepare, organize, and maintain all Logistics paperwork.
Maintain, organize, and coordinate the movement (using FIFO methods, if possible).
Complete and verify all documentation and forms (receipt, inventory, or shipment related) are accurate.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized and efficiently maintained.
Load and unload trailers, trucks, and containers in a safe and efficient manner.
