About The Position

The Forklift Operator drives a liquefied gas or battery powered industrial truck equipped with forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in the warehouse or factory. This role requires a commitment to safety, high efficiency, and quality inspections. The operator will also work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance, maintain housekeeping standards, and understand department communication systems and job reporting requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Industrial Truck Operator certificate
Previous industrial truck operator experience
Computer data entry and retrieval related experience
Handheld scanner experience

Responsibilities

Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
Complete required quality inspections per customer specifications and paperwork
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Provide an active role in the housekeeping of the assigned area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions forks under unitized stacks, loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.
May load or unload materials onto or off of trailers, pallets, skids, etc.
Replaces liquefied-gas tank.
