About The Position
Forklift Operators is a position responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include but are not limited to Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving. Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand up lifts). Must be able and willing to stand throughout 10–12-hour shifts. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- 12 months of stand-up forklift experience in the last 3 years listed in work history
- Ability to meet minimum productivity percentage
- Ability to continuously pick up to 40 lbs
- Proficiency in reading and writing
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Nice To Haves
- Cold Warehouse experience preferred

- Willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given
- Willing to learn other duties
- Completing on-the-job paperwork
- Effectively communicating across all management levels
- Performing the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
