Forklift Operator - FT Morning Shift
About The Position
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial truck/forklifts to load and unload product and deliveries. The driver will need to move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks. This role involves participating in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, performing daily equipment checks, examining products for quality, stacking products in correct storage bins, ensuring loads are secure, promoting a safe work environment, and using a computerized scanning device (RF Gun).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Safety
- Time management
- Willingness to learn computerized scanning device
Nice To Haves
- Forklift Operations Certification (or experience with other warehouse equipment)
- OSHA Certification
Responsibilities
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Perform daily equipment checks, i.e., checking truck batteries
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Stack products in the correct storage bins at the direction of inventory control
- Ensure that loads are secure
