Forklift Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position

This role is for a Forklift Operator in Seward, NE, with available shifts including 2nd shift (1:00 PM-9:30 PM). The starting wage ranges from $21.61/hr to $24.86/hr, with additional incentives such as shift differentials, health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, paid lunches and breaks, 401(k) with company contributions, paid holidays and PTO, reimbursements for boots and safety glasses, an employee referral program, tuition reimbursement, and career development opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to working safely.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate industrial trucks and follow specific directions.
- Required to pass a written and driving test to obtain operator’s license.
- Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, squat, lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, reach, kneel, and stand for up to 12 hrs. a day.
- Required to work daily overtime, weekend work, and various shifts depending on workload.
- Must be willing to work any available shift.
- Must pass a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, into trucks or storage areas.
- Safely operate and care for the forklift.
- Participate in cross-training efforts for specific plant needs and share duties with other drivers.
- Occasionally fill out bills of lading, change fuel tanks on the lift, or pick up parts, paper, objects, and residue off the floor and around workstations.
- Complete all required quality tests and inspections.
- Notify supervisors of any observed concerns in the production area related to product handled or facility safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
