About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all product and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours) You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE). Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred) Tyson will purchase a pair of boots for you after 30 days on the job or you will be reimbursed up to a specified amount. Team members will be driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks. May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks. Standing or walking up to 100% of the time This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Requirements

  • 3 months forklift experience (Can be a combination of employers as long as it at least 3 months)
  • Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Cold Storage Experience Preferred.
  • Composite toe preferred for boots.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all product and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift.
  • Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
  • Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
  • Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
  • Pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
  • Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • During your work shift, which will consist of up to (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • As part of efficiently completing job tasks, a handheld scanner will be used to track products as it is loaded, unloaded, and moved around the facility.
  • At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.
