About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for their 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday). This role is essential to the logistics industry, involving the movement of stock within the warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, and operating various types of equipment. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. DHL Supply Chain has been certified as a Great Place to Work® in the US and Canada.

Requirements

  • Experience using an RF Scanner
  • Ability to walk long distances during an entire shift
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and stack heavy cases
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, quota-based warehouse environment
  • Six months forklift operation experience
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of using a pallet jack.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six months warehouse experience

Responsibilities

  • Move stock from one area to another within the warehouse environment.
  • Load and unload shipments of various sizes.
  • Operate equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Manually hand pick cases and stack products while consistently meeting daily production and accuracy goals.
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
