Responsible for the safe, effective, and accurate handling of products stored in a facility. This role involves the safe operation of various forklifts (propane and electric) and their designed attachments to perform unloading, stacking, and picking functions in a timely and accurate manner. The Forklift Operator will support all accounts within the facility and perform all forklift functions safely per Biagi Bros policy manual. This position requires daily safety checks, support for inventories through counts and cycle counts, and maintaining housekeeping to support food-grade warehouse requirements. The role also includes the safe and proficient operation of various forklifts and attachments, being alert to surroundings, unloading trailers, containers, and railcars, completing receivers thoroughly and accurately, staging and stacking products correctly, accurately pulling product, verifying outbound orders, and loading outbound orders according to load diagrams. The operator must be able to change forklift batteries or propane tanks, attend safety meetings, and complete daily forklift safety checklists. Additional duties include cutting and removing seals, ensuring drivers are accompanied, stopping unauthorized personnel, securing doors, performing housekeeping duties, disposing of garbage, recycling materials, performing inventories, reporting inventory anomalies and damages, assisting in all areas as needed, supporting repack projects, and representing Biagi Bros appropriately. Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory, and other duties may be assigned by management.
