About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be willing and able to operate in a safe manner, and in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Must be willing and able to use handheld computer to pick and scan product to outbound loads. Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with other TM’s and assists in coordinating to accomplish all assigned tasks. Must be willing and able to operates powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck. Inspects daily, charges batteries, maintains battery water level, and changes batteries as necessary. Must be willing and able to work areas and around raw materials, packaging, and pallets to the appropriate production areas. Must be willing and able to move inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area. Moves finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area. Must be willing and able to unloads trucks. Covers and stretch-wraps pallets. Ensures assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging. Records movement transactions in the SAP system. Ensures all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly. Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP’s, and USDA regulations.

Requirements

  • 1 year of forklift driving experience.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Prior Tyson workers must complete a 365-day rehire wait period before being considered for the role.
  • Prior Tyson workers will not be considered for the position after having worked 3 times or more for Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks.
  • Cover and stretch-wrap pallets.
  • Ensure production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging.
  • Record movement transactions in the SAP system.
  • Ensure all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP’s, and USDA regulations.
