Forklift Operator - Aerospace
About The Position
We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of forklift operator. Forklift operators are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs, among other duties. This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15): An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or An individual who is granted status as a "protected person".
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous forklift experience required
- Valid forklift certification (Accurus Provided)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mathematical aptitude
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading materials in a manufacturing setting
- Transporting material scrap to designated location(s)
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs
- Perform general clean-up tasks to keep work area clean and free of excess debris
- Operating and managing technical equipment
- Identifying workplace safety hazards
- Adhering to safety management standards
- Adhering to production schedules
