About The Position

This job will include setting up, loading, unloading, or warehousing of product or supplies with a forklift. The role operates on a Swing Shift. The primary responsibilities involve operating a forklift in narrow aisles and safely taking materials to and retrieving materials from various production equipment locations. This may also include the operation of a pallet jack. The role is responsible for maintaining warehouse and transaction accuracy, production reporting, and inventories of both product and supplies. Learning and using SAP for data entry on forklift computer terminals, handhelds, and desktop computers is required. Maintaining neat, clean, and orderly work areas, assisting in collecting quality control samples, and performing other clerical duties or tasks as assigned by supervision are also part of the role. Bid holders are responsible for safety inspections of their forklift before use and filling out the safety inspection form on each shift. The position requires the ability to qualify as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written, and practical exams. Repetitious loading and unloading of ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs will be required. A working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks must be demonstrated. The role may be assigned to alternate facility locations in North Logan or Logan, or to work Saturday or Sunday. Other shifts may be assigned. Maintaining a clean work environment at warehouse facilities, which may include performing janitorial duties (sweeping, mopping, etc.), is also a responsibility. Compliance with all site and equipment safety and quality good manufacturing practices guidelines is mandatory. The PM Shift is also mentioned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to qualify as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written and practical exams.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks.
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operation experience is preferred.
