About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for various warehouse and inventory tasks, including loading and unloading freight, stocking production lines, moving finished goods, and picking/staging orders. This role requires the operation of forklifts and other lifting equipment, adherence to safety and GMP guidelines, and basic computer skills. The position is for the 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 -2 years warehouse and inventory experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 -2 years of previous experience required in operating a standard forklift, stand up lift truck, powered hand lift truck and manual hand lift truck.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer uses and functions.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Previous use of SAP or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload in and outbound freight trucks, delivery trucks, UPS, etc.
  • Stock production lines with correct components to facilitate efficient and continuous production.
  • Move finished goods from production lines to appropriate stock locations in warehouse.
  • Pick and stage orders of chemicals, components or finished goods.
  • Performs bin to bin scan of pallets utilizing RF scanner.
  • Replenish production line components as required.
  • Responsible to recharge lift truck batteries daily.
  • Perform routine spot check of forklifts prior to daily operations.
  • Follow GMP’s and Safety rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
