About The Position

Ryder is seeking a full-time, permanent Forklift Operator for their location in Caledon, ON. This role involves performing various warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. The operator will be responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading trucks. Additionally, the role requires managing day-to-day warehouse paperwork and providing technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during production hours. • H.S. diploma/GED preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified preferred.
• Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Responsible for dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
