Forklift Operator
About The Position
TransX Ltd. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their Dock team at the Edmonton Terminal. The ideal candidate will be strong, active, and possess a solid work ethic. TransX Ltd. is a large, Canadian-owned company with over 50 years of experience in integrated transportation and logistics services across North America. They have 11 terminals across Canada and the USA, approximately 900 employees, and a fleet of over 4000 trucks, trailers, and containers. Requirements
- Forklift certificate, WHMIS, TDG certifications
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience in a cross dock/fast-paced warehouse machine operator role
- Forklift experience in a cross dock or WHSE
- Experience stacking different types of materials, including boxes, pallets, bins, etc.
- Experience working with frozen and refrigerated freight
- Positive attitude and personality, courteous manner, and flexibility
- High-attention to detail
- Consistently reliable and dependable
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Safety-first work style
Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading containers and trailers
- Organizing the warehouse
- Using a forklift
- Other general labor duties such as stacking, wrapping and warehouse cleaning
