About The Position

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator with LTL experience for its Groveport, Ohio facility. The role focuses on moving products throughout the warehouse using material-handling equipment and requires safe, accurate operation of equipment in accordance with applicable local legislation. This is a safety-sensitive role. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (four 10-hour shifts). Weekend availability is required, and overtime may be needed. Benefits and paid time off are available from day one.

Requirements

• Must be forklift certified; the posting states that certification may be valid or invalid.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred; one year of experience is stated.
• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends; weekend availability is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds unassisted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects overhead.

Nice To Haves

• LTL experience.
• Previous forklift certifications.
• Previous warehouse experience, with one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and required system work.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and follow TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
