Forklift Operator
About The Position
Yazoo Mills, Inc., a leading manufacturer of paper tubes and cores, is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Hanover, PA facility on the second shift. This is a full-time position within a stable, family-owned company that has been in business for over 120 years. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for multiple warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment, including verifications, record keeping, and preparation of items for shipment.
Requirements
- High School education/GED
- 1-2 years of forklift and warehouse experience
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
- Operate stretch wrap banders and other necessary packaging equipment.
- Identify errors and packaging defects and correct accordingly.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the work day.
- Knowledge of UPS/FedEx shipping procedures.
- Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regards to maintenance functions and other essential tasks as assigned.
- Based on daily need, communicate essential information needed to ensure proper and timely deliveries.
- Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Operate a baler/shredder for recycling product.
