Responsible for the safe, effective, and accurate handling of products stored in a facility. This role involves the safe operation of various forklifts (propane and electric) and their designed attachments to perform unloading, stacking, and picking functions in a timely and accurate manner. The Forklift Operator will support all accounts within the facility and perform all forklift functions safely per Biagi Bros policy manual. This position requires daily safety checks, support for inventories through counts and cycle counts, and maintaining housekeeping to support food-grade warehouse requirements. The role also includes unloading trailers, containers, and railcars, accurately completing receivers, staging and stacking products according to specific account and company procedures, and accurately pulling appropriate product from assigned locations. Verification of outbound orders prior to loading and proper loading following load diagrams are also key responsibilities. The operator must be able to change forklift batteries or propane tanks, attend safety/staff meetings, and complete daily forklift safety checklists. Additional duties include cutting and removing seals, ensuring drivers are accompanied, reporting unauthorized personnel, and securing doors at appropriate times. Housekeeping duties are essential for maintaining food-grade standards, including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal. The role also involves recycling materials and assisting with inventories and repack projects. The Forklift Operator will represent Biagi Bros appropriately in all relationships and must maintain punctuality and regular attendance. Other duties may be assigned by management.
