About The Position

Ariens Company is seeking a self-starting, motivated Forklift Operator to join our Henry's team in Shepherdsville, KY. The shift is Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm, and the pay is $22.00 per hour. This role involves collaborating within a team responsible for the safe handling of materials essential for outdoor power equipment manufacturing, precisely handling raw materials and parts, and proficiently operating machinery necessary to execute job tasks. The position requires strict adherence to established standard work procedures, assisting fellow team members, recording essential information, efficiently loading and unloading materials, entering data into the AS400 system, delivering parts to assembly cells, offloading incoming products, and providing support for set-up duties. Collaboration with team members across various departments is key to achieving daily production targets.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
  • Must be able to use hands to position parts in place
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in safely operating a forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a team responsible for the safe handling of materials essential for outdoor power equipment manufacturing
  • Precisely handle raw materials and parts, ensuring they are stored in designated locations
  • Proficiently operate machinery necessary to execute job tasks
  • Maintain strict adherence to established standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality
  • Assist fellow team members in various areas to collectively achieve daily production targets
  • Record essential information in compliance with standard work protocols
  • Efficiently load and unload materials and units onto trucks as needed
  • Enter material movement data into the AS400 system for accurate tracking
  • Deliver the right parts in the correct quantities to assembly cells or work centers in a punctual manner
  • Offload incoming products and transfer them to designated storage locations
  • Provide support for set-up duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with team members across various departments to achieve daily production targets effectively
  • Other duties as needed
