About The Position

PACE Supply’s Distribution Center in Stockton, CA is currently hiring Forklift Operators for our Pipe Yard. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move large pipe and related materials, picking, receiving, and putting away product in designated areas, using RF scanners to accurately track inventory movement, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company productivity standards. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with availability for daily overtime required.

Requirements

Experience operating forklifts (pipe yard or heavy material handling experience a plus)
Ability to work daily overtime as needed
A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Dependable and able to thrive in a physically active role
High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes.
Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers.
Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits.

Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.

Responsibilities

Looks up part numbers, quantities, product locations, and customer information on the computer, as appropriate.
Refills shelves and racks from overstock, as needed.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a cooperative manner with customers, co-workers and managers.
Receives orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
Pulls orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.
Maintains cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the work-group.
Operate equipment such as order picker, stand up and/or reach lift, Combi lift.
Utilize an RF scanner for daily tasks
