Forklift Operator - Freezer - Bakery Plant 3rd Shift
About The Position
This position operates a sit-down, double-reach, tandem, rider and pallet jack forklift to move product to and from inventory warehouse storage and to and from the production lines. The role involves staging pallets and product for efficiency and safety, rotating date-sensitive stock, consolidating bays, operating a shrink wrapper, and using inventory control devices. The operator will also transport supplies to production, perform safety checks on equipment, and handle freezer put away, picking, and shipping functions. Additional duties include operating the palletizer, Lantech wrappers, and auto labeler, transferring finished product to the freezer, preparing trailers for shipment, and counting and inspecting finished goods inventory. The role also involves transferring inventory to open warehouse, freezer, or cooler locations.
Requirements
- 6 months of forklift experience in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience operating sit-down and standup double reach forklifts
- Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty.
- Operate a standup double-reach forklift truck
- Operate a sit-down forklift truck
- Pick products and place on pallets.
