About The Position

Cardinal Equipment Services is looking for a Forklift Operator based out of our Winter Haven location. We’re currently looking for Monday through Friday, working 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. As a Forklift Operator at Cardinal Equipment Services, Home of Gekay Sales & Service, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for safely handling and transporting cold drink equipment and supplies within our facility. Your role will involve operating industrial forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator.
  • Ability to operate handheld devices and PCs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Follow all prescribed safety and security measures protecting all associates and company assets.
  • Minimum age is 18 years old.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with safety policies.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to utilize all company-provided resources and technology.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance within company guidelines.
  • Effective quality management and technical skills needed.
  • Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools.
  • Continuous bending, kneeling, squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation, and exposure to chemicals and noise.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily goals: Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Operate handheld/PC: Utilize handheld devices and PCs to manage inventory and track equipment.
  • Review daily production schedule: Monitor and adhere to the daily production schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Safely operate industrial forklift: Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Load and unload trailers of cold drink equipment and supplies: Handle the loading and unloading of trailers with precision and care.
  • Transport equipment to assigned areas in facility: Move equipment to designated areas such as Triage, Core storage, Wash Bay, Fountain, and Finished Goods.
  • Stack equipment as needed: Organize and stack equipment to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Shrink-wrap equipment: Apply shrink-wrap to equipment for protection and stability during transport.
  • Assist with equipment inventory: Participate in inventory management and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Systematically close out orders: Complete order processing and documentation systematically.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the day: Ensure the workspace is kept clean and safe, adhering to company standards.
