About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately identifying products, roll amounts, and loading order to complete the loading of a truck, following loading diagrams and instructions from the Shipping Lead. The operator will work collaboratively with fellow shippers to ensure efficient trailer loading, resolve count discrepancies, and report any unsafe work conditions or damaged/under/over shipments of raw materials or supplies. The position also involves unloading and properly storing raw materials and supplies, operating a forklift safely, and maintaining a clean work area. A commitment to ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement is expected, including identifying and recording problems related to the product, process, and quality system, and controlling nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected.

Responsibilities

Follow loading diagrams and instructions to accurately identify products, roll amounts, and loading order for truck loading.
Work efficiently with fellow shippers to load trailers.
Resolve count discrepancies with the Shipping Lead.
Alert supervisor of potentially unsafe work conditions.
Perform other duties as instructed by the Shipping Lead.
Unload and properly store raw materials and supplies in their designated area.
Alert Shipping Lead of any damaged or under/over shipment of raw materials or supplies.
Follow safe loading and unloading procedures while operating a forklift.
Fill out daily forklift checklist and report any forklift performance issues.
Report poor inbound/outbound trailer conditions to the Shipping Lead.
Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.

Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.
Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
