About The Position
The Forklift Operator transports and/or unloads materials in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants may be considered for openings in departments including Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving. The role involves working in a cold, damp environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees, performing fast-paced repetitive work, and standing, walking, and riding powered material-handling equipment throughout 10–12-hour shifts. Some positions require lifting, pushing, and pulling 40+ pounds; Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ pounds. Specialized training is required to qualify to operate powered industrial trucks within Tyson Foods, Inc. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., on D Shift. The listed pay is $22.30 per hour. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Haltom City is not accepting rehires at this time.
Requirements
- At least 12 months of stand-up forklift experience within the last 3 years, listed in work history.
- Meet the minimum productivity percentage.
- Continuously pick up to 40 pounds.
- Be willing to train for and pass forklift license training.
- Be able to read and understand instructions for operating RF equipment.
- Be willing to work overtime and weekends.
- Be willing to accept and carry out requests and directions, and learn other duties.
- Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across all management levels.
- Be willing and able to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be able and willing to work in a cold, damp environment and stand throughout 10–12-hour shifts.

- Cold warehouse experience preferred.
