About The Position

Trinidad Benham Corp, a leader in its industry with over 100 years of business, is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Packaging Operations department in La Vergne, TN. This full-time position is responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility and grounds using a forklift, supporting the Production Operation. The role requires operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, with a preference for sit-down experience. The company emphasizes stable employment and growth opportunities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Forklift certification required.
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to work well with all levels of employees, individually or in a team environment.
Ability to perform more complex problems.
Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two (2) years or more of related experience in a manufacturing preferred.
Sit down forklift experience preferred.
Valid state-issued driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

Operates gas or electric forklifts (sit down and stand up) in the warehouse.
Operates forklift and other powered equipment when required, potentially performing complex, heavy, or oversized transports.
Performs daily machine inspections adhering to safety procedures.
Reads and understands Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets.
Moves product to work areas according to production schedule and daily pick-up sheet.
Stacks product in storage areas, loads and unloads shipments to and from trailers.
Uploads full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, and checks pallets for accuracy.
Maintains clean and organized aisles or rack storage, consolidates partial pallets.
Labels, sorts, wraps, and ties inventory products.
Loads product into containers by hand.
Completes required paperwork per company standards.
Communicates with management and maintenance personnel regarding maintenance and repairs.
Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including documentation.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Performs tasks with little or no supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
