About The Position

Ascend Staffing is seeking Forklift Operators for a warehouse associate position in Sunnyvale, TX. This role involves receiving and unloading products, performing general labor, moving items, handling merchandise, tracking shipments, categorizing and labeling items, preparing orders for shipment, managing damaged merchandise, operating warehouse machinery like forklifts, entering data into software, and reporting maintenance needs. The position offers weekly pay of $19.00 per hour, direct deposit or debit card payment options, and benefits such as health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. Weekends are off, but overtime is available. Training is provided.

Requirements

• Warehouse Associate experience preferred
• GED / High School Diploma
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to work in the US
• Solid work history that demonstrates reliability
• Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 30 or more pounds regularly
• Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
• Excellent attendance with a stable work history
• Able to work as an active member of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload pallets and products
• Perform general labor duties as required
• Move items around warehouse
• Carefully handle fragile merchandise
• Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
• Categorize and label merchandise according to size, shape, and type
• Prepare all orders for shipment
• Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
• Operate appropriate warehouse machinery (for example, forklift)
• Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
• Wrap and prepare pallets for shipping
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
