Shelbyville Shipping - Forklift Opr PR04 - FT (2nd Shift)
About The Position
This position is for a Forklift Operator at the Shelbyville Shipping facility, primarily for team members currently working at the facility or complex. External candidates will be considered after internal applicant review. The role involves loading and unloading trailers, moving pallets of product in a timely manner to and from a loading dock, and cleaning work areas and equipment regularly. The operator will also be responsible for recording important information associated with trailers, such as date, trailer number, and order number, and performing other tasks assigned by management. The work environment is cold (35° to 40°) and wet, requiring appropriate foot, eye, and ear protection. The job may involve occasionally lifting over 45lbs, long periods of standing, and tasks that utilize repetitive hand and wrist motions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months documented Forklift driving experience.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year or more years of documented Forklift driving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading trailers.
- Removing pallets of product from one place to the next in a timely manner to and from a loading dock.
- Cleaning work area and equipment regularly.
- Recording important information associated with the trailer such as date, trailer number, order number etc.
- Performing other tasks assigned by management.
